This was a fun one to work with
This design principle of this piece is driven by wordplay on two levels:
Spectre - Spirit: Words relating to paranormal entities, and also a type of alcoholic beverage, which Spectre's skills references.
Spectre - Illusion: A 'virtual' image (as defined in optics) represented as a concave reflection (as in, the concave reflection on a wine bottle) to emphasise the illusory depiction of the subject matter.
I also wanted a more lighthearted representation of the character, hence the liberal use of orange/green/yellow to temper the black/red/pink in Spectre's official art
