Summary

  • The Exceed content will be added.
  • The Side quest, "[Exceed] Project: Finding Memories in the Mist," will be added.
  • This quest becomes available after you complete the quest, "Ready to Go to Dusky Island."

 

System

Content Entry

  • After completing the Side quest, "[Exceed] Project: Finding Memories in the Mist," you can enter the Special channel, Exceed.
  • The Exceed channel requires 54,726 or higher Fame to enter.
  • You can enter the content through NPC Inventor "Sweetie" Tehiti in the Exceed channel.
  • After creating or joining a party, move to the right side and start exploring through the content NPC.
  • If you abandon the dungeon, all your progress will be reset.

  • [Exceed] White Cloud Valley and [Exceed] Solidaris will be added.

  • [Exceed] White Cloud Valley Changes
    - Normal monsters and missions will not appear.
    - Elder Luton's HP will be scaled to match the Named Boss monsters'.
    - Defeating Named Boss monsters will not resurrect dead characters.
  • [Exceed] Solidaris Changes
    - You will now encounter all the Named Boss monsters.
    - Bluehawk Captain Birdie's HP will be scaled to match the Named Boss monsters'.
    - The Support skills' effects and cooldowns will be adjusted.
    - Defeating Named Boss monsters will not resurrect dead characters.

 

 

Content Rules

Trials

  • Trials are applied to the Exceed dungeon when you enter.
  • The number of Trials applied depends on the challenge level, with higher levels having more difficult Trials.

 

Trial Types

  • Trials that always appear across all stages, without distinction.

Additional Trials

  • Trials that appear additionally on different stages.

 

Trial Rotation

  • The Exceed Trials rotate among the list of Trials below after the first of the following month.

Timer Bomb

A bomb is planted on the battlefield during battle.

Ice Bomb

Randomly cast on a character during battle,
it repeatedly causes a cold explosion in 4 directions around the character.

Safe Zone

Periodically causes an AoE explosion across the map during battle.

Ice Ball

An ice ball appears in a randomized location during battle, blasting cold energy as it travels around.
* Additional Ice Balls appear starting at Stage 5.

Power Chain

A stele appears on the battlefield.
It randomly links spiritual energy to a character.
You must find it and break the link.

8

Power Barrier

A shield periodically appears around monsters during battle.
This shield decreases their damage while it's in place.
When it's gone, additional damage is applied.

9

Critical Wound

Incoming attacks leave critical wounds.
These wounds stack for greater damage.

10

Star in the Sky

Incoming damage sends you high into the air.
The effect is retriggered when a wind blows on you.

 

 

Dungeon Stages and Difficulty Levels

Stages

  • Exceed has 8 stages, starting with Challenge.
  • When you first enter, your stage will be labeled Challenge.
  • Dungeons range from Stage 1 to 8, with higher stages increasing the number of Trials granted and increasing the difficulty.
  • The higher the stage, the higher the Expected Rewards that can be obtained at the time of reward settlement.

 

Challenge Stage Rules

  • Dungeons start at the initial Stage 1.
  • You can challenge up to +2 stages from your current stage.
  • You can't challenge your current or lower stages.

 

Stage Upgrade

  • When you clear your current stage, your Exceed stage will be upgraded to match the stage value.
  • Example: Clear Stage 2 to reach Stage 2 and get Stage 2 rewards.

Entry Limit

  • Upon completion of an Exceed stage, your character will be bound to the Play list.
  • Up to 10 characters can be bound to the Play list.

 

Monthly Reset

  • On the first of every month at 9:00 UTC, the Character Play list will be reset.
  • You can't challenge after 8:00 UTC on the reset day.
  • The next monthly reset will be on June 1, 2024. Please be sure to settle your rewards before then.
  • Your stage will be retained until the next monthly reset on the first of the month, at which time it will be adjusted by -3 stages.
  • Your stage will not go below the Challenge stage.
  • After the stage adjustment, your Polished gems will revert to gemstones and become inactive.
  • Polishing is not possible while gemstones are inactive.
  • Characters with gemstones inactive will be adjusted to the Challenge stage regardless of your current stage if they don't clear the dungeon by the next month.

 

Guard Skill (Exceed Only)

  • The Guard skill will be added to the Exceed dungeon.
  • The default key is the left Shift key, which can be changed in Hotkey Settings → Dungeon → Dungeon Special Key 2.
  • The Guard skill can be cancel-used except in certain situations.
  • After a successful Guard, it will immediately become available again, increasing your Overall Damage by 15% for a short period of time.

 

Related System Changes

  • The System hotkey, Event Skill, will be deleted.
  • A new Dungeon hotkey, Dungeon Special Key 2, will be added.

 

Polish Gem

You can polish gems through the pop-up menu on NPC Inventor "Sweetie" Tehiti in the Exceed channel.

  • After clearing the Exceed dungeon, you can polish your characters' gemstones into gems.
  • When you polish, rewards will be added to your Loot list.
  • The higher the stage you clear, the higher your chances of getting a good reward.
  • Note: The Polishing character can't play Exceed again until the first of the following month.
  • When you polish, items that you can earn will accumulate in your Loot list.
  • The Polishing character can't play Exceed again until the monthly reset is complete.

 

Settle Reward

You can settle your rewards through the pop-up menu on NPC Inventor "Sweetie" Tehiti in the Exceed channel.

  • You can select and settle Loot items that have accumulated from polishing gemstones on your characters.
  • Rewards can be settled once a month per account.
  • The number of Settlement slots available is based on your highest stage reached on your account.
  • Up to 16 Reward slots will be unlocked at Stage 8.
  • After the following month, if you don't settle your existing rewards, you won't be able to play Exceed again until you do so.
