Synopsis

Operation Sandstorm.

A mission in which medics were redeployed as combatants to stop the Kartel’s advance toward the Empyrean Capital following their invasion of Lufthafen.

The medics, originally part of the medical support unit, were initially tasked with first aid and evacuation of the wounded.

Despite their efforts, the Kartel’s relentless assault resulted in the deaths of most frontline soldiers.

Completely cut off and unable to communicate with HQ, the medics took up the weapons of the fallen to hold the line themselves.

 

The Kartel dismissed their resistance as meaningless, but the medics fought back in their own way.

In particular, Squad 1 of the medical support unit repurposed abandoned drones on the battlefield for medical use and combat, or carried out guerrilla warfare to divert the enemy's attention.

Under their squad leader's command, all twelve members survived and succeeded in defending the front until reinforcements arrived.

 

The success of the operation was reported to Commander-in-Chief Jakter Erlox of the Empyrean Army.

The use of drones in combat, which allowed simultaneous medical support and engagement, left a deep impression on him.

Inspired, he decided to deploy "Aesculapius," a prototype medical drone that he had developed with Michelle Curio, a former member of the Seven Shards.

He ordered further enhancements to equip the drone with an assault suit, allowing its operator to fight and heal at the same time.

 

Soldiers equipped with this cutting-edge Empyrean technology were henceforth known as Paramedics and were deployed in various missions.

On the front lines, they shielded allies from enemy advances and then charged forward to secure victory.

Wherever the Paramedics fought, victory followed.

 

And yet, Empyrean troops engaged in grueling battles across countless fronts began to dread their arrival.

To fight alongside a Paramedic was, for many, no different than holding hands with an angel en route to hell.

 

Even so, because Paramedic deployments always turned the tide, the Empyrean Army called them by another name.

 

"Battlefield Angel"

 

And so, the Paramedics continue to run headfirst into the places that needed them most,

to protect everyone by their side, no matter the cost.

Synchronization
* Buff effects are granted regardless of each squad member's location, including separate maps.
* When a squad member recovers from Ghost state using a Life Token, all Enhancement effects on other surviving squad members will be renewed (with the exception of Protective Module-type skills).

Enables you to collect battlefield data through Basic attacks and certain skills during combat.
* When the collected data reaches 100%, they become a consumable resource and can be stored up to 3 times.
* Some of the Paramedic's Enhancement skills consume battlefield data.

The following effects are applied in the case of solo operations.
* Increased Independent Atk. and decreased skill cooldown.
* When battlefield data is consumed, the drone on standby in the air performs a laser attack on enemies around the Paramedic.

* Immediately grants the enhancement effect of squad::protective_module (safeguard);.

 suit::mobile_strike ();

Quickly dashes forward to perform a rising kick.
If the kick lands successfully, a follow-up attack is executed.

 squad::armor_enhance ();

An enhancement module provided by the Paramedic to the squad.
Enhances defensive capabilities based on battlefield data, increasing Max HP/MP, Physical/Magical Def., Magical Def., VIT, and SPR for squad members.
Also has Synchronization effects.
Can be cast during other actions.

 [SCQC] Evasive Maneuver

Slashes with a laser blade mounted on the suit, and then immediately performs a short backward dash followed by two suppressive shots.

Fires 6 shots at the nearest enemy in front.

Grants a shield that absorbs damage in place of HP.
* This shield stacks, up to 50% of the target's Max HP.
* If the damage taken exceeds the accumulated shield amount, HP decreases by the excess damage.

Consumes battlefield data.
Can be cast during other actions.

 [SCQC] Zero-Distance Suppression

Slashes with a laser blade mounted on the suit.
Pulls enemies on hit to attack continuously.

Uses collected data to redefine the effects of squad::weapon_enhance ();, improving its efficiency.
Also has Synchronization effects.
Consumes battlefield data.

 suit::deploy_barrier ();

Deploys the suit's internal barrier process and charges forward.
The deployed barrier inflicts damage and knocks back enemies it collides with.
When squad::protective_module (safeguard); is learned
* Immediately grants squad members the enhancement effect of squad::protective_module (safeguard);.

 suit::path_clear ();

Equips the suit's built-in hand cannon to fire a laser forward.
The laser inflicts damage on enemies, and the ground scorched by the beam explodes for additional damage.
